About

GameCity is a unique celebration of videogame culture.

It’s a series of regular events culminating in an annual festival that takes place in Nottingham’s best venues and public spaces. GameCity brings people together to participate in interesting things and engage in playful experiences in exciting new ways.

Come and play.

GameCity is a project of Nottingham Trent University with support and backing from a range of private and public sector partners.

In 2008 NTU collaborated with the National Media Museum to launch the National Videogame Archive. It now has over 3000 objects in the collection.

We’ve worked alongside some of the most prominent names in gaming, including;

Microsoft Xbox, SCEE, Nintendo, Naughty Dog, thatgamecompany, Capcom, Electronic Arts, TTGames, Crytek, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, Activision, Namco Bandai, Ubisoft, Freestyle Games, Media Molecule, Splash Damage, Harmonix, Jagex, Rare, Denki, Monumental Games, Midway, Introversion, Amanita Design, Zoë Mode, NanaOn-Sha, and lots more.
